Parks in Milan



There are a lot of small parks in Milan, but In the heart of Milan are only two big ones.

Located in the historic center of the city with an area of 386.000 m² that was established in 1888 lies the 'Parco Sempione' (Picture on the top). The park is adjacent to the gardens of the 'Castello Sforzesco'. Located in the park area are the 'Arena Civica', the public aquarium, the 'Triennale' and the 'Torre Branca'.
A pretty place to relax, read, take a stroll with friends or take a run.

'Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli', which was named after the writer and journalist Indro Montanelli in 2002, is a major historic city park in Milan. It's located in the 'Porta Venezia' district. Established in 1784 it is the oldest city park in Milan. After their establishment the Gardens haven been repeatedly enlarged and is currently 172.000 m² big. The most notable buldings in the park are the 'Museo di storia naturale di Milano' and 'Planetario di Milano'.
